Recent statistics from Rightmove have assisted in the understanding of why house extensions are becoming more and more popular.
The numbers have indicated that average house prices in the UK have increased significantly between March 2014 and March 2015, going up by more than five per cent.
This rise means that an average property can be worth over £280,000. Michael Holmes, a spokesperson for an event called the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show (NHRS), has claimed that this has boosted the number of extensions in two ways: firstly, some people may have opted for extensions instead of moving, and secondly, other individuals could have used an extension to make their houses more valuable.
From these perspectives, the logic of investing in a home extension in Cheshire is clear enough.
The NHRS is based at different locations throughout the year. It is somewhere that exhibitors can attract business, while the public can use the occasion to pick up insights into renovation.
On the testimonials page of the show’s website, one person wrote:

Holmes has indicated that loft extensions are frequently quite a cost-effective technique of adding living space to a property. He has stressed that many loft extensions do not require planning permission. However, he also stated that an alteration in the shape of a roof may be an exception to the general principle.
